The buildup of dirt in your home is never ending and so an automatic vacuum can completely change your life! The problem is, if you have ever looked at Roomba robots for example, you will know that they come at a huge cost.
And not everyone wants to fork out $500 or even $1000 for a vacuum. But don’t worry. There are plenty of awesome budget vacuums on the market that mean you don’t need to give up this dream just yet.
And the Eufy RoboVac 11 and 11+ are some of them. But if you are considering either of these two vacuums, you might be wondering what the difference is and which one you should get.
Although not as high tech as some of the newest robot vacuums on the market with the self-empty or voice activation features, the 11 is the original trustworthy base model for Eufy’s 11 series. It has decent cleaning power, strong battery life and 11 sensors to stop it from bumping into things.
The 11+ on the other hand has all this with some upgraded and improved features too. Although it does come with a couple of downsides too. So which one is best? We dig into the differences below and compare the two to make it easier for you.

Now let’s take a look at the main features of the two robot vacuum cleaners.
The Eufy RoboVac 11 is a remote-controlled robot vacuum with strong cleaning power that can be used for cleaning carpets and hard floors. It has 3 different cleaning modes namely Edge, Max, and Spot cleaning mode as well as a triple-filter system to effectively suck up dirt, dust, and debris. It has decent navigation with smart infrared sensors that stop it from falling over ledges.
It has one rolling brush along with two side brushes which helps it loosen and suck up dirt more effectively. It is battery powered and rechargeable and charges up in its charging base. If it starts to run out of battery while cleaning it will take itself back to the base to recharge.
A nice feature of the Eufy RoboVac 11 robot vacuum is that it can climb over rugs, rolls or uneven flooring of up to 0.59 inches. This means it can go easily from room to room. The Eufy RoboVac 11+ is also remote controlled and uses Power Boost Technology as well as a second generation three-point cleaning system.
This means that it has an effective and improved cleaning performance compared with the Eufy RoboVac 11. It works efficiently on rugs, hard floors and even medium-pile carpets, and can traverse ledges of 0.59 inches with 16% larger climbing wheels than previous models. The 11+ has an improved and more streamlined bumper for sliding easily under furniture. It also has a wider brush.
Verdict: The 11+ wins here with some upgraded features like an improved, stronger suction power and more streamlined and sturdy bumper.
If you are investing in a robot vacuum, performance is important. You want to make sure as much of the cleaning is automated as possible.
The Eufy RoboVac 11 robot vacuum has strong suction power and achieves high-quality cleaning. It has a powerful airflow of 1000 Pa and cleans with an effective three-brush system of one rolling brush and two side brushes.
The brushes loosen dirt from the floor which is then vacuumed into the dust collector which means it can target stubborn dirt and really deep clean. As the bot can climb over ledges or bumps of around half an inch, you don’t need to worry too much about it getting stuck between rooms.
But do be aware that your bot isn’t well-suited to clean high-pile carpets or very dark hard floors, and like most bot robot vacuum cleaners, can’t deal with any really big debris. Although to get an idea, the eufy RoboVac 11 can effectively pick up hair, debris and even small screws.
If you are looking for a more thorough clean and the highest performance possible for your budget robot vacuum, the Eufy RoboVac 11+ is a good call. Although using the same three-brush system and having a matching 1000 Pa airflow, the bot has an improved suction inlet.
This improves the quality of your clean but does take up a little extra room in the bot, adding a little height and reducing the dust collector. The 11+ also uses BoostIQ or Power Boost Technology. This means it can increase the power and airflow when it comes across tricky or extra dirty areas for a more comprehensive clean.
One downside of this is that it drains the battery more quickly. But luckily the 11+ has a longer run time anyway so it can clean more in one sitting. The 11+ also has an improved wider brush to improve performance and a new and improved robust and streamlined bumper.
Both vacuums can be programmed to start a clean at a specific time which is great to build around your schedule.
Verdict: Although both bots are similar in power, the 11+ wins out with improved and stronger suction, Power Boost, improved bumper, and longer run time.
So how do these robots travel around your house and avoid obstacles?
Well, both bots use the same smart navigation technology. Although they don’t use sophisticated camera-navigation like some premium robot vacuums, they move around smoothly and successfully navigate from room to room.
They effectively clean different surfaces as well as getting into corners, under furniture, and into hard-to-reach places. Worried about collisions? Don’t be. They each have 11 sensors consisting of bumper, cliff, and infrared sensors to help them sense what is around them and glide smoothly around without bumping into obstacles like walls, furniture, or pet’s bowls.
They also have drop-sensing technology which means they won’t go hurtling over the edge of your stairs or any other potentially dangerous drops. This keeps them and your house safe from damage.
Verdict: Both vacuums use the same 11-sensor navigation and can sense and avoid drops.
Let’s take a look at the look and design of the two vacuums to see how usable as well as stylish they will be in your home.
The Eufy RoboVac 11 is round and generally comes in an understated, classy black color. It has anti-scratch tempered glass on the top for protection which stops it getting scratched and damaged. This also keeps it looking neat. It is 12.99 inches wide, 12.83 inches long and 3.07 inches tall.
Therefore it is quite compact and will fit fairly easily under most furniture without too much of an issue. This will also help it avoid getting stuck in places and awaiting rescue. It weighs 6.66 pounds which is nice and light and easy to carry and move around.
The interface is simple to use with a simple power button on the bot and easy-to-use remote control. You can control the robot vacuum cleaner as well as schedule cleans from here. The 11+ has a similar design and aesthetic to the 11. It is round like most robot vacuums with a sleek black design that will fit in easily in any home.
It is a little smaller and more compact than the 11 with dimensions of 12.8 inches wide, 12.8 inches long and 3.35 inches tall. Although a little taller than the Eufy RoboVac 11, the 11+ has a redesigned streamlined bumper that as well as being more robust is less likely to get stuck. It also weighs 6.66 pounds.
The interface is similar to the 11, using remote control to start, stop and schedule cleans. Unfortunately neither of these bots connect to wifi.
Verdict: 11+. They both have a similar look and size, but the 11+ is slightly more compact with a redesigned bumper which gives it an edge.
How much dirt your vacuum’s dust bin can hold determines how often you will need to empty the thing, so it is quite important.
If you like the idea of emptying your robot vacuum cleaner as little as possible, then you will probably want to go for the Eufy RoboVac 11. The 11 model has a bigger dust bin than the 11+. The dust box is 0.6 liters which is pretty decent compared to many robot vacuums on the market.
This means you might be able to empty your bot around once a week. Is it easy to empty? Yes. Just wait until the indicator light turns on and tip out the trash inside. Make sure to wipe out the dust bin with a clean cloth regularly to stop dust and dirt building up. This will make sure it keeps performing well for longer.
The Eufy RoboVac 11+ on the other hand, has a 0.55 liter dust bin. Although not too different, this slight reduction in size is still a downside and can make a difference. Expect to empty the dust bin every 3 or 4 days instead.
But robot vacuums in general can only hold limited dust and need emptying often, and the 11+ still has a competitively sized bin to others on the market. Both the 11 and 11+ vacuums empty in the same way and are similar to use and maintain.
Verdict: The 11 actually wins this round with a slightly bigger dustbin so you don’t need to empty it as often.
As they aren’t the latest models, the easiest place to get hold of one of these robot vacuum models is online. Although when released the 11+ was pricer, now on Amazon you can find the 11 for around $250 and the 11+ for as low as $220.
You can also find another slightly newer upgrade of the 11, the 11S available through the Eufy site which has similar features and comes at a similar price. This might be worth looking into if you like the sound of the 11 and 11+.
Other costs you might need to factor in are costs for the upkeep of your robot vacuum. The filters will need replacing every few months to keep the performance of your Eufy RoboVac at its peak. You will also need to buy AAA batteries for the remote control.
Verdict: While both can be found for under $300, the 11+ can actually be found for cheaper these days so is worth going for.
A quick note on the noise levels of the two vacuums to see how much you will be disturbed in return for a clean home.
The Eufy RoboVac 11 is very slightly quieter than the 11+ with noise levels of 57 decibels. That means if you are between the two but lower noise is important to you go for the 11.
It could be perfect for people with nervous pets or nearby neighbours that you don’t want to annoy. It can also be a good choice if you like to have your robot vacuum cleaner clean while you are doing other things like cooking dinner or even watching TV.
The 11+ on the other hand has noise levels of around 60 decibels. This is due to the improved design and superior suction power and so it is really worth it if you prefer the slightly better performance. 60 decibels is still fairly quiet for bot vacuums on the market so you shouldn’t be waking your neighbors any time soon.
Verdict: The 11 wins on noise with a quieter mechanism running at just 57 decibels.
Let’s take a quick look at how long your bot can clean for.
The 11 has a run time of 90 minutes. This is pretty good, especially for a budget robot vacuum on the market, and allows for one and a half hours of uninterrupted cleaning. The robovac uses a Lithium-ion battery which can be recharged as well as being hard wearing.
The 11+ has a longer run time of 100 minutes. This means you get more time of uninterrupted cleaning so may be a good choice if you have a bigger house. The 11+ also uses a Lithium-ion battery which can be recharged many times.
If your Eufy RoboVac runs out of charge it will head back to its charging station to charge up. This will take around 5 to 6 hours for both robot vacuum models.
Verdict: The 11+ wins with a slightly improved battery life.

Both models actually use the same filtration system, a triple filter system. This uses two different filters alongside a high performance filter which means you have triple the protection to keep your home clean.
High performance filters are particularly efficient at catching dust, dirt, mold particles and allergens as well as dog and cat dander. It then traps them in the robot vacuum and keeps them out of the air. This is great if you have pets or if you or your family are sensitive to pet hair or have other allergies.

So there you have it. The full review of the Eufy RoboVac 11 and the RoboVac 11+. And what’s the bottom line? Well, the 11 offers some great features like strong power, effective cleaning, several cleaning modes, sensor technology with a 90 minute battery life and triple filter system.
It is also a little lower in height than the 11+ making it more likely to fit under your couch. Great right? Yes, it is a solid choice, however the 11+ pips it to the post. It has the same power but with improved suction, it can handle a little rougher terrain and has a new and improved bumper.
