You don’t need to push a vacuum around your home anymore, not when there are robot vacuums that will do the work for you. There are so many robotic vacuums out there though that you might find yourself struggling to choose just one—especially since they can feel a little similar after a while.
The EUFY Robovac 30C and 35C are definitely two similar models, but there are a few differences between them that might make one the best little robot vacuum cleaner for your home.
Eufy 30C Advantages
You don’t have to figure out a smartphone app with this Eufy. That’s because you have a remote included with this vacuum that you can click all the controls on. This might be easier to navigate with—especially if you just like to grab the remote to give it commands rather than figuring out an app. The alphabet “C” actually denotes connected meaning it supports the use of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control and also Google Home.
This might be either an advantage or disadvantage for you depending on whether you want to be able to give the vacuum commands independently of the EufyHome app or remote.
You can click commands right on this vacuum if you want to tell it what to do, although you might not want to if you would rather use something like an app. It works perfectly well on bare floors.
Your boundary strips with this 30C vacuum will go up to 13 feet, Boundary strips will provide you with more room to maneuver this vacuum as it cleans. By comparison, the 35C only has 6 feet Boundary strips.
Eufy Robovac 30C Disadvantages
This vacuum does not necessarily work great when it comes to medium pile carpets. The same is true of the Eufy Robovac 35C, both of which are able to pick up pet hair and have powerful suction, but which struggle to get pet hair in thicker carpeting.
If you want to return the Eufy 30C to your base, you will have to do that manually. This is a small thing, but it might be something that tends to irritate you over time, and that might be difficult if you have a hard time leaning down.
You can still connect to some smart assistant technology in your home with the 30C, but you don’t have the same ability to give your vacuum voice prompts. This can be problematic if you want to use the wireless operation, especially without WiFi.
Eufy 35C Advantages
If you have Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, you can use those devices to give your Robovac 35C a command. This is especially good for those of you who have trouble perhaps bending down to give manual prompts to the robot, or if you are used to just automating your house through the voice prompts.
One of the best parts of the Robovac 35C is the fact that it will automatically return to your base when you first set it up. This means that you don’t need to struggle with putting it in there yourself or with adjusting the vacuum all on your own.
If you want the ability to adjust your vacuum with simple buttons on the top, you might like the design of the Robovac 35C, which allows for this type of adjustment. It has three buttons as well as a Wi-Fi indicator right on top.
Eufy 35C Disadvantages
With the 35C, you only have 6 feet of boundary marking, which means that you have less room to pick out to maneuver your vacuum. This may not be a problem for you unless you need more room for your vacuum.
You cannot clean your home manually using the 35C. This means that you have to let it work on its own, and can’t direct it to where you need it to be using your EufyHome app, but you can do this with the Eufy Robovac 30C. They also come with auto cleaning modes.
In the end, the 35C is a newer model of the Eufy vacuums, which means that it does clock in at a higher price. This may be worth it to you if you like the included features that it comes with.
When it comes to keeping your floors and surfaces clean, both the EUFY Robovac 30C and the EUFY 35C boast a 3-point cleaning system.
So if you have problems with keeping your bare floors clean, or low to medium pile carpets, or have plenty of pet hair to remove, they are perfect for you.
These come with a set of sensors like magnetic sensors, cliff sensors, bumper sensors, etc. These sensors help the units to find a charging base and to automatically dock and recharge itself
Both robot vacuums come with the same Generation 2 motor that can function in two different modes – the low 1300Pa mode and the 1500 Pa Max mode. The 30c comes with a noise level of 55 DB
Suction Power- 1500 Pa doesn’t sound much, especially not when being compared with the suction of large home vacuums.
With a pair of side brushes, the main brush roll, and the suction working together, both devices are great at what they do. The side brushes enlarge the cleaning area, allowing for more dust, hair, and other debris to be funneled towards the main brush roll.
The main brush roll is effective on most floor surfaces, but especially so on carpets. All the dirty stuff is stored in the 0.6 liters bin on both the EUFY Robovac 30C and the 35C.
The cleaning area is pegged at 1292 ft2/120 m2 for both vacuums, and they are able to cross many barriers at a maximum of 0.63 in/16 mm.
Both units have auto cleaning modes which will automatically optimize the cleaning process by changing to different modes. Once the battery level is below a certain level, the robot vacuums locate the charging base and will dock themselves and recharge.
Verdict: With both the EUFY Robovac 30C and the EUFY 35C performing at a similar level, it is hard to decide between the two.
With the Generation 2 motor allowing for great suction power, and the 3-point cleaning system ensuring your surfaces are well taken care of, there is no clear winner in this area. But both of them are not that great when it comes to medium pile carpets.
Aside from the cleaning ability of the robot vacuums, consumers may look at the extra bells and whistles in order to determine which is their preferred choice. In terms of connectivity, both the EUFY Robovac 30C and the 35C have the ability to connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Both the vacuums come with BoostIQ technology.
This opens up the door to smartphone connectivity and operation, and smart devices such as the Amazon Alexa and Google Home. However, the newer EUFY 35C has an advantage in that it is responsive to voice prompts. It also comes with a charging base.
You can give commands to the vacuum even in the absence of Wi-Fi connections, which can be handy for those with little access to reliable connections.
On the other hand, if you prefer to take charge sometimes, the EUFY 30C has a manual cleaning function that can be operated from the smartphone app.
Perhaps there are areas you wish to give a more thorough cleaning, this can be done via this function that can only be found on the EUFY 30C.
Verdict: While the two robot vacuum cleaners have certain similarities, the more recent EUFY 35C seems to have drawn the shorter straw when it comes to the features.
Aside from its inclusion of voice prompts, it has a shorter boundary marking strip and is not possible to perform manual cleaning. It remains a close fight, but the older, more seasoned EUFY 30C wins this round.
Taking a glance at both the EUFY 30C and the 35C, they almost have the same shape and profile. The older 30C weighs in at a slightly heavier weight of 5.95 lbs/2.7 kg compared to the 35C, which has a weight of 5.73 lbs/2.6 kg.
When we compare Eufy 35c vs Eufy 30c the width is the same for both units, coming in at 12.85 inches /32.5 cm. As for the height, the newer 35C is somewhat similar at 2.85 inches/7.3 cm, as opposed to the Eufy BoostIQ Robovac 30C, which stands at 2.85 inches/7.2 cm.
The EUFY 35C comes in an all-black shell, while the Eufy BoostIQ Robovac 30C has a slight brownish hue to it with a tempered glass shell. The latter is more straightforward in terms of buttons, with just one button on the top and a display for the Wi-Fi signal.
The EUFY 35C has three buttons up top, alongside the Wi-Fi indicator.
Verdict: With the physical differences between the Eufy BoostIQ Robovac 30C and the 35C being so minute, it really comes down to which robot vacuum cleaner you prefer to look at.
If you are looking for a straightforward device that is easy to get moving, the Eufy BoostIQ Robovac 30C will be the one for you. For those looking at a more sophisticated looking device, go for the EUFY 35C.
